Who is Travis?

Travis, an audio engineer based in Mobile, Alabama, is a firm believer in having fun while creating art together. It should be an encouraging and positive collaborative experience that tells a story to an audience. As a servant to your art, he will work with you to make it the best it can be, hoping that you both grow in the process. A project is successful, in his mind, when you are proud of your hard work, a relationship was fostered, and both of you walk away knowing more than you did before.
Travis has always had a passion for recording. He first fell in love with it when his parents gifted him a Tascam portable recording studio as a child. Since then, he has experimented with many recording solutions, such as Cockos Reaper, Adobe Audition, Apple’s Logic Pro X, and has now become exceptionally fluent on Avid Pro Tools. From his work with 8Eighty Records at the University of Mobile, to running live sound, he has developed an ear for mixing many different styles. Additionally, as a former guitarist and music director for the University of Mobile’s traveling ensemble Impact, Travis has learned the art of catering music to the room and responding to the listener’s emotion.
The recent University of Mobile graduate spends his time outside of the studio in full-time ministry serving as a church sound and lighting director. Apart from music, Travis enjoys the company of his wife, Blythe, and their two dogs.
